Following a very successful 2010 we are also offering two special Humpback Whale photography & acoustics research trips in August 2011 in association with Tony Wu (http://www.tonywublog.com/category/photography/trips) ****

Jocara has been in the Kingdom of Tonga for a year now, chartering in the Vava'u island group. This is an idyllic collection of tropical islands frequented by Humpback Whales in the months of July-Oct. Fully-crewed charters including all food, fuel, accommodation aboard, etc., are available from US$200/person/day in the low season.

Dr. John Potter has teamed up with Tony Wu (well known in the islands having swum with, photographed and studied Humpback Whales there for 10 years) to bring you an opportunity to spend 4/5 days on board Jocara with John and Tony taking photos/video, acoustic recordings of their incredible song and social sounds and being with the whales. Trip includes marine mammal behaviour, acoustics and photographic workshops. This is one of the few places on the planet where you can get in the water and swim with the whales, if you have a permit... and we have a permit!

5 days 4 nights with all accommodation, fuel and food included at US$1350.
